Outstanding Student

Mr. Panhavuth Ly

My name is Panhavuth Ly. I am a 12th-grade student at American Intercon School, Tuol Kork Campus in the academic year 2022-2023. After spending more than 13 years of studying at the American Intercon School, I can say that this school is a warm second home and a very meaningful place for me. What I will never forget is the enthusiasm, concern, care and support both physically and emotionally from the school management, principals, teachers and staff. In here, I received a really good education, which led me to a series of good results, including getting good grades in the monthly exam, winning a medal in the sports championship such as the Mengly J. Quach 7th round of cultural knowledge-civilization competition, winning medals in math competitions such as Math Kangaroo, Caribous Contest, SASMO, AIMO, passing the Mengly J. Quach Outstanding Student examination in Mathematics, 9th grade in the academic year 2019-2020 and 12th grade in the academic year 2022-2023, and recently received an A grade in the Baccalaureate exam. In addition to studying, I also have the opportunity to gain capital skills through school work and social work.

In my free time, besides studying, I always spend time volunteering because it is something I have loved and enjoyed since I was in elementary school; I have participated in tree planting, painting, school and gift distributing to victims of natural disasters and so on. Moreover, I have been a member of the Student Council (AISSC) since the first generation and in the second generation, I became the president of the student council. As a student council president, I have had the opportunity to develop the ability to communicate with others, courage, patience, emotional control, problem solving, responsibility, time allocation, public speaking, working as a team leader and a better understanding of the outside world. After graduating from the American Intercon School in the academic year 2022-2023, I can say that the school has provided a good education and has refined me to be fully prepared to pursue a tertiary education.

Ultimately, I would like to remind the younger generation that learning and volunteering are really valuable, and they can give us a lot of benefits, so you need to seize the opportunity, hold on tight, avoid procrastinating, seeking the knowledge acquisition, know-how, soft skills, work hard till the end as the capital for building our future life path.
